What are theFactors that Drive Consumers to Purchase Luxury Products over theInternet?
You are beinginvited to take part in a research study. Before you decide whether or not totake part, it is important for you to understand why the research is being doneand what it will involve. Please take time to read the following informationcarefully.
The purpose of this study is to findout what are the factors the drive some consumers to purchase luxury productsover the internet, and generate possible marketing implications.
This is an online survey posted onsocial media websites. It is up to you to decide whether or not to take part. Ifyou do decide to take part you will be given this information sheet to keep andbe asked to sign a consent form. If you decide to take part you are still freeto withdraw at any time and without giving a reason.
In this survey, you will be asked tocomplete an online questionnaire. You will be asked demographic questionsinclude age, gender, income and education level. Questions related to onlinepurchase and purchase of luxury products will also be asked. It will take youabout 5-10 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
To participant this survey, you willnot be given direct financial benefit due to limited monetary resource.However, your participation will contribute to the further understanding ofluxury marketing and consumer behavior. Your participation will also generatemore reliable results for this study, thus increase the value of this study.
Participating this survey will notcause any damage. The only disadvantage will be voluntary time commitment, asmentioned before, it will cost you 5-10 minutes to complete thequestionnaire. All information collected about theindividual will be kept strictly confidential (subject to legal limitations). Allinformation will be stored in a password protected computer. All informationcollected with be used for this study ONLY.
You should participant this survey ifyou have ever purchased any luxury products over the internet and you are 18years old or above.
Results of the study will be used fora dissertation of a postgraduate degree of International Marketing. The resultsof this study will not be published.
The study has been approved by theSchool of Business, Management and Economics, University of Sussex ethicalreview process.

Iagree to take part in the above University of Sussex research project. I havehad the project explained to me and I have read and understood the InformationSheet, which I may keep for records.
I understand that agreeing to take partmeans that I am willing to:

I understand thatany information I provide is confidential, and that no information that Idisclose will lead to the identification of any individual in the reports onthe project, either by the researcher or by any other party.
I understand that anonymous questionnairewill be used, no questions regrad to personal identities will be asked in thequestionaaire, and collected information will only be used for this researchONLY. These actions will be done to prevent my identity from being made public.
I understand that my participation is voluntary, that I can choose not to participate in part or all of the project, and that I can withdraw at any stage of the project without being penalised or disadvantaged in any way.
