Opinions towards Chinese use in class.
Chinese is spoken by my students in my class more than I would like.
I have a clear set of classroom policies for controlling Chinese use.
I feel I can control Chinese use in my class well.
Not allowing any Chinese use in class at all is a good policy.
It is difficult to establish a clear classroom policy that allows Chinese use, whilst simultaneously not allowing students to use it "as they please".
What have been the most successful ways that you have controlled Chinese use in the classroom? (Note this does not mean "stopped", it means any policy that you feel is effective at mediating L1 Chinese use to achieve learning and language goals. Please be as detailed as possile)
