I feel I am clearer about what is expected of me in the classroom now I have been explicitly presented with this policy.

I feel more positive towards the Chinese policy now it has been framed as a "Chinese when you need to for learning purposes" rather than a "No Chinese" policy.

I believe the new policy (clear policy, special group etc) has overall reduced innappropriate Chinese use in the classroom.

I believe being part of the special group with the teacher or assistant teacher helped me understand better and prompted me to engage more in English than I would normally.

I believe our groups was more able to study effectively whilst the students with lower English level were in the special group.

Asking students why they have used Chinese and asking them to justify themselves is a fairer way of determining whether Chinese use was neccessary for learning or not.
