A Study on the Linguistic contact between Chinese and Swahili in Tanzania

PURPOSE

You are being asked to participate in a research study of a research team from the

University of Dar es Salaam, the Confucius Institute and the Humboldt University of

Berlin. The purpose of the study is to contribute to the knowledge about the linguisticcontact between speakers of Swahili and Chinese in Tanzania. You were selected asa possible participant in this study because you are participating in a language classlearning Chinese at the University of Dar es Salaam / the Confucius Institute.

CONFIDENTIALITY

The data from this investigation will be handled confidential and will be anonymized.

The questionnaires will be numbered and stored and referred to by their sequential

number. No name will be stored with it so that the questionnaire cannot be assigned

to any participant. None of these will be used for commercial use.
