Mobile Application Context-of-Use Survey

IntroductionThe aim of this study is to survey HCI/UX Experts about the extent to which context-of-use is considered in regard to mobile application usability. This study is being held under Protocol number: COM/PG/UH/00107. A Participant Information Sheet with further information is available for downloading/printing. This survey will close at 11:59pm GMT on March 31, 2016.It is completely up to you whether or not you decide to take part in this study. Agreeing to join the study does not mean that you have to complete it. You are free to withdraw at any stage without giving a reason. If you decide to take part in this study, your part will take approximately 3 minutes. Any data gathered as part of this study will only be published in aggregated and/or anonymized form. Responses cannot be traced back to individual participants. The data will be held securely in password-protected files, available only to the research team, and will be destroyed after the completion of the PhD programme of the principal investigator. If you have any questions, please contact the principal investigator, Ger Joyce, at gerjoyce@outlook.com.Please review the following:1  I confirm that I have been offered a Participant Information Sheet giving particulars of the study, including its aim(s), methods and design, the names and contact details of key people and, as appropriate, the risks and potential benefits, and any plans for follow-up studies that might involve further approaches to participants.2  I have been assured that I may withdraw from the study at any time without disadvantage or having to give a reason.3  I have been told how information relating to me (data obtained in the course of the study, and data provided by me about myself) will be handled: how it will be kept secure, who will have access to it, and how it will or may be used.4  I understand that if there is any revelation of unlawful activity or any indication of non-medical circumstances that would or has put others at risk, the University of Hertfordshire may refer the matter to the appropriate authorities.5 I confirm that I am 18 years or olderIf you agree with these points, please click Next to participant in this study.Defining context-of-useThe Interaction Design Foundation defines context-of-use as "the actual conditions under which a given artifact/software product is used, or will be used in a normal day-to-day situation".
