Moving from one culture to another involves several stages of adaptation processes.With social media being the dominant form of communication in the world today, these adaptation processes are taking place in the online sphere and are being adapted to this new environment. Through an analysis of Chinese students' social media interactions and experiences, this thesis will examine and whether the online world aids and supports acculturation in new forms and ways.
