A young man named Tom Robinson was falsely accused of rape because he was a black man. Defense attorney Atticus Finch, despite having evidence that Tom was not a rapist, nothing could prevent the jury from concluding Tom was guilty. This reckless crime resulted in Tom's death by gunshots. When I wrote this worksheet, the first book in my mind is To Kill a Mockingbird, because it is impressive to me and I have a lot of feelings after reading it. This book is rewritten based on real historical time, the innocent sacrifice of black Tom in the novel caused by racial discrimination and the alienation of lawyer Atticus Finch from the white residents of the community for defending the black. This book reflects on racial injustice and the destruction of the innocent. The book doesn't tell the story of how to kill mockingbirds, but Atticus tells the child about a childhood he shot a mockingbird, so he always has a sense of guilty story. From the content of the work, the bird does not seem to be directly related to the theme reflected, it is a keyword or a clue that runs through the entire work which symbolizes innocence and kindness, and when you kill a mockingbird, it's like killing a kind and innocent person.
