Principle Investigators: Linda Ammann (PhD), Humboldt University of Berlinand Daud Samwel Masanilo(MA), Chinese language instructor, CI-UDSM.PURPOSEYou are being asked to participate in a research study of a research team from theUniversity of Dar es Salaam, the Confucius Institute and the Humboldt University ofBerlin. The purpose of the study is to contribute to the knowledge about the linguisticcontact between speakers of Swahili and Chinese in Tanzania. You were selected asa possible participant in this study because you are participating in a language classlearning Chinese at the University of Dar es Salaam / the Confucius Institute.CONFIDENTIALITYThe data from this investigation will be handled confidential and will be anonymized.The questionnaires will be numbered and stored and referred to by their sequentialnumber. No name will be stored with it so that the questionnaire cannot be assignedto any participant. None of these will be used for commercial use.
